I got a challenge from a friend, to wear a mankini to work, and he’d pay me for doing so. Of course, Casual Friday on Mankini won’t hurt for a man like me who had nothing to lose.

It was a very hot morning as I was on my way to work and I was wearing a leather coat on top of my incognito mankini. When I arrived to the office, I figured that they were looking forward to seeing me on a mankini, so I realized how much this outfit could make or break me. After my friend had given me the bet money, I removed my jacket to reveal a gym-maintained body built hugged by a tight blue mankini.

I took a diversion by pretending to continue working, since I knew I was pretty much distracting everyone by showing off some shape. But before things could subside, I drew more attention again by walking across t he hallway towards the photocopier. Shame, I felt confident but that was just because I had to not look otherwise.

I removed my coat and went back to my cubicle. At first, it was okay because I got to sit on my office chair and my bulge was underneath the table. Then, I had to a travel to the photocopier, which was unfortunately, across the hallway. I asked myself, “should I let another person to do the errand for me?” I was looking for the messenger doing some rounds, but was busy with an earlier task. So, with all confidence, I slipped to the copier booth.

Fashioning a mankini even to the cafeteria during lunch, a lady with her friends from the other department asked me to sit next to them. What caught my attention was that they were wearing beach outfits and the girl who called me actually wore a bikini underneath a knitted, loose vest. I knew then that I belong. More hours passed, the office seemed to be adjusted to my eccentric wardrobe trip.

The experience of having to wear a Mankini to my office on a Casual Friday don’t seem to be an activity I’d like to repeat, but at least I earned more than . I got some of my female officemates hitting on me, though I never thought I could be that hot on it.
